Viz Media Announces the Launch of the TV Series Victory Kickoff in France on Disney XD

The new series from TYO Animations Studios, Victory Kickoff!” distributed in Europe by Viz Media will premiere in France from February 20th, 2013 on Disney XD.

Victory Kickoff!” is a 39 episode program for children aged 7 and upwards, broadcast by NHK in Japan and developed by the studio TYO Animations (Prince of Tennis, Persona 4, Inazuma Eleven and Fullmetal Alchemist).

Adapted from the “Galaxy World Cup” novel by Hiroto Kawabata and published in Japan by Shueisha, Victory Kickoff!” tells the story of young Shō Ōta who dreams of becoming a football champion.

Victory Kickoff!” is 100% a football series! Children can easily find themselves in the role of the young heroes; their training, their lives and all their games are very realistic!

With a mix of both girls and boys, the team of Victory Kickoff!” will have to overcome many challenges if they want to be able to participate in the World Cup! Training and friendship are key to this TV series that will certainly encourage a new generation of potential football champions!


Synopsis:
Sho, a young 12-year-old boy, dreams of becoming a football world champion. Far from being the best player on the field, he is certain to succeed with a good coach and team.
Thanks to his passion and determination, Sho managed to convince a former football star, to accept the position of coach. Together they recruit players from across the region in order to create a team and make it to the World Cup!
