The Muse India YouTube channel began streaming the television anime adaptation of Mari Okada and Nao Emoto's O Maidens in Your Savage Season (Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo) manga on Monday.

The anime premiered in July 2019. Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English, and it describes the story:

The girls in a high school literature club do a little icebreaker to get to know each other: answering the question, "What's one thing you want to do before you die?" One of the girls blurts out, "Sex." Little do they know, the whirlwind unleashed by that word pushes each of these girls, with different backgrounds and personalities, onto their own clumsy, funny, painful, and emotional paths toward adulthood.

Masahiro Andō (Sword of the Stranger, Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow, Sirius the Jaeger, Snow White with the Red Hair) and Takurō Tsukada (Our love has always been 10 centimeters apart., Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom) directed the anime at Lay-duce, and Okada herself wrote the scripts. Kaori Ishii (animation director for The Eden of Grisaia, Rewrite) was in charge of the character designs.

Okada and Emoto launched the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in December 2016, and ended it in September 2019. Kodansha published the manga's eighth and final compiled book volume in October 2019. The volume included an extra epilogue chapter. The title is the manga series debut of screenwriter Okada. The manga had two new side-story chapters that debuted in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in August 2020 and September 2020. Kodansha Comics shipped the eighth compiled volume of the manga in English in November 2020.

The manga also inspired a live-action series that premiered in September 2020.
