Encore Films describes the film:
Takemichi Hanagaki(Takumi Kitamura) is close to uncovering the secret of the mysterious Valhalla gang as war approaches between them and the Toman gang. Still on a mission in the past to save his beloved Hinata(Mio Imada) from getting killed in the present, Takemichi must figure out what happened during the deadly “Bloody Halloween” brawl for a chance at a future with her.

The Toman gang is falling apart as the top members seem to be following their own agenda. First Division Captain and founding member of the Tokyo Manji Gang Keisuke Baji(Kento Nagayama) crossed sides and betrayed his own to join Valhalla. Mikey(Ryō Yoshizawa), head of the Toman gang, surprisingly integrates Tetta Kisaki(Shōtarō Mamiya) a former leader of their enemy gang, Moebius, to their group as Third Division Captain. Takemichi must navigate the deadly fallout between best friends and comrades to discover the link from the past to his present, and save the person he cares for the most.

The film opened in Japan in June 2023. The film ranked at #1 in its opening weekend. It earned 605,494,180 yen (about US$4.19 million) in its first three days and sold 469,600 tickets. The film earned a cumulative total of 2,067,565,380 yen (about US$14.47 million).

The first sequel film Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween - Destiny opened in Japan in April 2023. The film opened in the Philippines earlier this month on January 17.

Wakui launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017, and ended the manga in November 2022, although Weekly Shōnen Magazine is serializing the Tokyo Revengers Extra spinoff manga about the founders of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in North America, and it describes the story:

Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he's a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto's most sinister delinquent gang!!

The manga's television anime adaptation premiered in April 2021. The anime's Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown arc premiered in January 2023. The manga's Tenjiku Arc also received an anime that premiered in October 2023.
