Nippon TV Enters Deal With Netflix Bringing 30 Japanese Live-Action Titles to India

Nippon TV announced on November 1 that it has finalized a deal with Netflix to bring 30 Japanese live-action titles to 24 Asian countries including India. The titles include I'm Mita, Your Housekeeper (Kaseifu no Mita), the live-action television series for Akiko Higashimura's Tokyo Tarareba Girls (Tokyo Tarareba Musume) manga, and the live-action Death Note television series.
The other countries in which Netflix will stream the titles are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Macao, Malaysia, the Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Netflix began streaming the live-action Death Note television series on October 15.
The 2017 live-action Tokyo Tarareba Girls series got a television special in summer 2020.
The deal will also bring Japanese drama titles such as Mr.Hiiragi's Homeroom, Your Turn to Kill, and Life's Punchline to Netflix in India.
