Penerbit Haru Licenses Ryō Asai's Cheer Boys!! Novel

Novel inspired manga, anime in 2016; is inspiring live-action film in summer 2019
Indonesian publisher Penerbit Haru announced last Friday that it has licensed Ryō Asai's Cheer Boys!! (Cheer Danshi!!) novel.
The original youth novel revolves around the "slightly odd and cute" members of a cheerleading squad at a men's university, and is loosely based on the real-life men's cheerleading team "Shockers." Shueisha published the novel in 2013.
Kenichi Kondō launched a manga adaptation in April 2016, an anime adaptation premiered in July 2016, and a stage play premiered in December 2016.
The novel is inspiring a live-action film that will open in Japan in summer 2019.
