J Trust Bank Indonesia Reveals Idol Character Group 'MOE'

Indonesian bank J Trust Bank Indonesia revealed its idol mascot group "MOE" last Friday. The announcement noted that illustrator NOB-C (Love Rice, Urawa no Usagi-chan, Musasino!) designed the characters, and that they are modeled after the Earphones voice actress unit, whose members include Rie Takahashi, Marika Kōno, and Yuki Nagaku. The characters' debut illustration puts them in costumes modeled on the Earphones members' costumes for their recent Some Dreams album.
The MOE group includes the characters Sora, Lily, and Mion, a trio of girls who all go to Velocity Academy on the planet Gliese 667 Cc, some 23.62 light years from Earth, and who all share an interest in anime and music. The girls join the voice acting club at their school and form an idol group named MOE.
The Earphones group was formed for the Seiyu's Life! anime, and has performed theme songs for the Akiba's Trip: The Animation anime, as well as the Kangokutō Mary Skelter 2 game.
