posted on by Karen Ressler
Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the television anime of Jun Misaki's light novel series Hundred as it airs in Japan.
The stream will premiere worldwide outside of Asia on Monday, April 4 at 2:45 p.m. EDT. The anime will premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo on Monday, April 4 at 2:05 a.m. JST. The series will then run on the BS Japan and AT-X channels.
Crunchyroll describes the story:
"Hundred" - the only weapon capable of fighting the Savages, mysterious life forms attacking Earth. Hayato enters the battleship university Little Garden in hopes of becoming a Slayer... but his roommate Emile Crossfode, who seems to know a lot about him for some reason, awakens a sort of unsettling nostalgia within him. What's more, right after he joins the school, the strongest Slayer at Little Garden, the "Queen" Claire Harvey, challenges him to a duel!
Tomoki Kobayashi (Akame ga KILL!, Utawarerumono) is directing the series at Production IMS. Hideki Shirane (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Date A Live) is handling series composition and Norie Tanaka (chief animation director for Absolute Duo, M3 the dark metal) is in charge of character design. Shuhei Naruse will compose the music for the anime and DIVE II Entertainment will handle music production.
