The official Japanese website for Fury, the military action movie starring Brad Pitt, announced on Thursday that it launching a collaboration project with three military anime: Girls und Panzer, Kantai Collection -Kan Colle-, and Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow. Animate, Gamers!, and Shosen stores throughout Japan are selling special advance tickets for the movie, and with each ticket, they are offering one of three different clear file folders with art from these anime. The ticket/clear file bundles will be available for 1,400 yen (about US$13) from November 1 to November 27, or while supplies last.
Fury is set in April 1945, towards the end of World War II. "Wardaddy" (Brad Pitt), the commander of the tank "Fury," leads his five-man unit on a desperate mission against the German army. To raise the authenticity of the film, the production used a real Sherman tank from the U.S. Army and a real German Tiger tank.
The film will open in Japan on November 28, after opening in the United States on October 17.
