If people have something they want to say on the topic they will. Now, do you have anything to actually say on the topic of this manga beyond pointing out no one else has commented yet?

I watched Maggie yesterday, so this review of Hour of the Zombie seems quite relevant. If you treat Zombism as a disease, naturally you are going to have to quarantine the infected. Also, due to the nature of the infection, the infected will probably have to be restrained to protect the health care workers and any family/friend visitors.

In the case of the manga, having the infected treat themselves as the disenfranchised seems a bit dangerous for society. If the spread of the infection has completely overwhelmed the ability of the government to deal with it normally, it could set up a situation where normal humanity could be seen as the evil ones who deserve to be eaten. Totally a self serving rationalization, but a believable one.

Who wants to die, and if you could live on as a human eating zombie, would you want to. Similar to the death versus vampirism debate.

While I thought the movie Maggie was a depressing drama, I did like the ending that showed human agency through an unexpected act of love.
