"Good fan service" I laughed hard. The first episode alone fit nearly every bad cliche in it. I couldn't get passed 3 episodes of this garbage. It's like they were not even remotely trying to be different.

One of the biggest problems with this series is that it was a poor adaption of the manga. I actually enjoyed the manga series but after the killer car episode it was clear this wasn't going to anywhere near the level of the manga.

Their were tons of filler episodes or episodes that were loosely based on the actual manga.

Part of the problem was the manga is short and they would have caught up real fast but with only 10 episodes and that sloppy ending they pretty much didn't even give a dam from the start. You could almost tell that this shows only purpose was to get you to read the original source material.

I had real high hopes for this show and if they were going to alter so much of it they should have at least tried harder than the pile of crap they gave us.

I think that's pretty much all anime's sole purpose. They all are basically 23-25 minutes long episodic commercials. And I have notice that the worse they are at adapting a source, the better the original source does in sales. Take a look at TG for example, that anime series was utter shit, adapted in a way that was unacceptable in every ways but the sales for the manga jumped really high afterward.

Not gonna lie. I'm going against the grain with what appears to be most peoples' opinions. I liked the show. I want to see more and I have a crush on Sakuya.

Yes most Anime is made as another venue in getting people to check out the source material ie the manga or light novel it was based on. Most of the fans of the source will at least consider that checking out the Anime and if it can drive up more book sales it's a win win.

But now a days most shows are scene for scene word for word so it leaves me beating my head against the wall why you would change anything unless you had a limited amount of episodes to do it. Or time constraints in running time I can get if one little minor detail is left out.

Even the manga isn't great, it's okay at the start then the art improves (like every series) and it becomes good but nothing special.

The anime needed more gore, the first few minute of ep 1 was false advertisement.
The ecchi isn't up to par and artstyle especially isn't.
Animation is average.

I liked this show, but could do without the fan service (yes, even though it was censored).

Must say, Theron's final paragraph says it all for me. Nothing great, nothing new, but does just enough to actually be a little charming. I agree that the open end does leave a bit of a hole, but it still ended at a good point.

Would I be in for a 2nd season? Yes, yes I would.

Anime was trash. Manga is better. Such a sad thing since the manga is quite enjoyable in my opinion.

One of the worst manga adaptations, on par with Rosario + Vampire, brought to us by the studio that ruined Brynhildr. I hate them.

What's TG? at least use the full title.

Pretty sure that's referring to Tokyo Ghoul.

The anime's first episode took liberties in both the character introductions and the tone (in the manga there wasn't a snake woman that exploded - violently or not), as well as that there was a lot of Anime-Original content (read: fillers) that messed-up the pacing somewhat, like the episodes with the Demonic Car or the Spider-Woman.

The manga itself is pretty much average/below-average already, with the occasional gag scene/moment and the "scenery" serving as its (quite weak) saving points.

Final judgement: the censoring made the series barely-watchable. If you liked DxD, you'll probably like this show as well, as long as you watch it uncensored (which means buying or renting the home-media versions), and even then I wouldn't recommend it. Better watch DxD.

This, infact after the anime i read the manga, and Brynhildr, like Elfen Lied is very good on paper. Anime was uber crap fullfilled with fillers and with an original "ending".

Worst show of last season. I don't even know how I lasted 4 episodes of this drivel before dropping it hoping it would get better.

It wen't from terrible to downright "not even the trash deserves this punishment."

Fell asleep somewhere through the second episode. Complete rubbish. And I liked Brynhildr (haven't read the manga). Well, not so much liked - more that it was awful in new and interesting ways. This was just boring.
