It feels weird when the words don't match the mouth movements x-x. But I guess that can't be really helped.

It would make my day if they would give the FF games a Japanese language/English sub option. That would make these games so much more enjoyable for me.

That small issue aside, I am looking forward to this more than I thought I would be. I wasn't a big fan of FF XIII, but looking at the trailers, I think I might enjoy this one ^^ Here's hoping!

Whenever I look at these promos from Square Enix, I always have more interest in the cut scenes than I do the actual games. With the right direction and stories, I think they could put out some really good movies, especially considering the quality of their CG work. Some of the scenes in Advent Children still give me chills.

In XIII they redid the mouth movements to match the english. Apparently all the cut scenes are going to be using the ingame engine to render so it might just be a matter of them switching a different lip sync file.

The problem with Square with long-form movies is they make the story or emotions so hokey that the audience couldn't swallow it all. In short-burst FMVs, that's OK. In long-form movies, it's like an ache being pummeled to your head. Laughing

I see Hope is wearing a necktie! I can't remember a single FF character to wear one in any of the games.

I do think the flying moogle could have been a bit cuter, though.

Agree on both counts.

Very happy with the cast and their performances seen here.
