I liked TMMN season 2; it nicely rounded the story and characters. I think Rebecca is being a bit harsh in her grading. To me Tokyo Mew Mew New is one of the better Magical Girls shows I have watched.

Same, I just liked it more than it should. Even if it portrayed the manga a bit more closely. But yeah, here's hoping in the future, they could adapt A La Mode (and even Re-Turn), or characters from the PS1 game in anime form, or even adapt the male version series of Ole/Au-Lait.

I’m in a TMM discord group full of nostalgic fans and I can tell you none of us thought the ending was disappointing. We all thought it was great and handled better than the original. It seems unlikely right now, but I do hope the studios decide to make a New version of the manga sequels. They’ve always really needed a rewrite, but as you can see, Berry’s always been my favorite Mew.

At first I was waiting to watch TMMN until it was dubbed, but unfortunately it seems like Sentai isn't gonna be doing that any time soon so I guess I'll watch both seasons subbed. My only hope is that they'll go back and rerelease the BD dubbed like they have with other shows.

This is my first real experience with Tokyo Mew Mew after the 4Kids dub way back when and I ended up enjoying it a lot!

Yeah, that's the one hopeful thing Sentai does after both seasons are out separately, doubtful it'll happen though. They even did the poll on HiDive's twitter about it, and nothing ever came about it after the majority voted yes on it, essentially baiting fans and wasting their time on an outcome that didn't matter either way. Sentai is always picky on what does or doesn't get a dub. And I hope for all intents and purposes that they don't get the '03 original anime if they just leave it as is (sub only) like they're doing now with the home video release of "New" at current and have someone like Discotek do it justice...if they officially get it, of course.

The person running the social media account doesn't have anything to do with the decisions made by the higher ups at Sentai Filmworks and were just trying to do social media engagement. I would love a dub of TMMN but Sentai has the streaming numbers to know if it would be profitable enough for them to make a dub and dubs cost a lot of money and time to make. Besides Sailor Moon, Madoka, and CCS, most magical girl anime is very niche and there's not enough support to justify the costs it takes to make dubs if there's not enough people watching them. We also don't know what behind the scenes decisions were going on where like maybe there were plans to dub it at some point but someone higher up told them no. But at the end of the day, if there weren't enough numbers to justify the costs in dubbing something, they're just not going to do it if it costs too much for little returns.
