Will still be a useless company. I cancelled my pre-order of Golden Kamuy as it kept being pushed back

True that....

They also blocked me in twitter cause I complained about their Black Lagoon release.

I started boycotting their releases 4 years ago and will never buy any anime release that has their name on it ever again.

I'm not sure quite why there is all the hate for Manga UK in here, IIRC all the distributors have had to do delays for releases this last year because there are delays all over and missing a deadline has cascading consequences, so a delay in receiving masters might mean a delay in getting BBFC approval which might mean missing the print time for the covers and the discs (and IIRC the printers, replicators and BBFC have all had delays of their own).

I'll miss Manga UK's logo as I think only they and MVM are still around from the 90's as Anime distributors here and so much of my early anime experiences have the logo as a prominent part of them, from things like Genocyber, Project AKO, Fist of the north star, AD Police, Patlabor the movie, Macross Plus and of course Ghost in the Shell and Akira.

So many hours sat with my brother in law watching all the 18 rated anime when I was ~13 :p even now that logo has a lot of memories attached to it, despite the company having changed hands multiple times.

Even though they are still around, having their brand taken away also feels like they've gone.

Good riddance. I never liked the name, and I never liked them for snapping up titles and doing nothing with them for the streaming space.
